I have been wanting to make a difference in people's lives for as long as I can remember. I entered the law profession with an eagerness to serve this principle. After graduating from law school with honors, I proceeded to work for large law firms in Salt Lake City, Utah and Seattle, Washington. While I gained indispensable knowledge and experience, I ultimately found big firm practice unfulfilling. Was I really making a difference in the lives of my clients?
Ultimately, I left the practice of law for a short time to start my own international adoption agency. I have a great love of children and felt that I could be serving the greater good through this kind of work. After many successful and joyous years with hundreds of children brought home to loving families, I looked inward to see where I might be of more service. My dedication to helping create healthy futures for family and children remained a core belief behind what I do. After experiencing firsthand the destruction and heartache that can occur in divorce, I decided to return to law practice and see how I might help others avoid such hardships. Through my tenacity and dedication to those core values, I've succeeded in developing a thriving family law practice different that any other: it's one that recognizes the enormous impact of divorce on individuals and their children, and works to create healthy outcomes by minimizing traumatic and brutal litigation. It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. At the same time, my adoption practice has greatly expanded from my steadfast dedication to helping children and families come together. I am a nationally recognized adoption practitioner, frequent speaker on adoption and adoption issues, and am sought after for my knowledge and wisdom by the bench and bar alike. It's been an extremely rewarding career. Truly, I feel very blessed. I live here in Camas, Washington with my beloved daughters, who traveled from China to find a home here in my heart. My children and pets keep me young through their constant joy and laughter. I give thanks every day for my family, my practice and my life. It is an honor to serve clients and I thank you for your referrals and patronage. |
